About the College

          Sahebraoji Buttepatil College was established by Khed Taluka Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in the year 2018. The Former MLA Suresh Gore had a great contribution in the foundation of the institution. It was decided that the college will be named after  Sahebraoji Buttepatil, an ideal former MLA of Khed taluka who strives for the overall development of Bahujans on the land of martyrs and saints.  During the establishment of the college the strength of the students was 150 from Arts, Science and Commerce and now it reached to 900 till 2022.  Arts faculty includes special subjects like History, Political Science and Economics. Microbiology and Chemistry in Science and Banking and Finance, Cost and Works Accounting and Marketing Management in Commerce.

          To ensure employment and entrepreneurship development through education the college provides career oriented skills and courses in the college.  Short-term courses like Internal Computerized Accounting, Production of Biofertilizer, Book Creation Skills, Printed Research Skills and Democratic Elections and Political Process have also been initiated. To provide computer training for commerce stream, a separate computer lab is formed and inaugurated by Hon. Chairman of KTSPM Adv.Devendraji Buttepatil Saheb. An updated laboratory is set for respective subjects like Microbiology and Chemistry. The Examination department provides proper advice and guidance to the students for University and college level examinations.

          Student Development Centre and National Service Scheme Unit of the college prepares and imbibes students for their social responsibilities.  It runs activities like Earn and Learn Scheme, Tree Plantation, Blood Donation Camp, Street Drama, Road Safety Campaign, Visit to Gram Panchayat , Pulse Polio Campaign, Women's Safety, Health Camp, Covid-19 Preventive Vaccination and Public Awareness in the college premises. The well furnished library of the college is the real asset of the college.  It was named after late Sahebraoji Buttepatil, the founder Chairman of KTSPM. He used to say that "I am as happy when I go to the college as when I go to the temple". (एखाद्या देवालयात गेल्यावर जितका आनंद मला होतो त्यापेक्षा जास्त आनंद मला या ज्ञानमंदिरात आल्यावर होतो)   Today, the library is full of textbooks and number of extra reading books.

           Various cultural programs and sports activities are organized in the college. Social reformers, patriots, revolutionaries are being paid homage for their contribution in national building and development of the country. An initiative called "Career Katta" is established  in collaboration with Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center of Maharashtra to ensure the possibilities of acquiring jobs in administrative services. Considering the threats to women in working places, an anti-harassment cell have been formed which ensure safety to women in college premises. Keeping the Global importance of environment in the age of industrial development and prosperity a program named 'Mental Awareness' is at hand.

          A placement cell has been formed in collaboration with numerous companies placed in Chakan along with Khed Industrial Area which ensures allotment of jobs to those who are in need. This Cell receives people from all across the globe to come to the campus, held interviews and provide quality jobs to aspirants. Various committees formed by the college administration look after the development of each individual who enters the premises. The college has come up with an Annual Magazine of its own which informs parents and student about recent development, activities, and initiatives taken by college for future up gradations.

          With expertise and experienced faculty members, the objectives of the college are being achieved. The tradition of sharing and exploring knowledge and expanding the horizons is going eternally. The academic result of the college is also excellent which motivates the students to take admission in the college. For comprehensive development of the students competitive Exam Centre, NSS, Sport Activity, Cultural activities, Earn and Learn Scheme and Students Welfare Scheme have been run successfully.
